Julius Amourgis Attorney Amourgis was Born June 22, 1965 in Toronto Ontario, Canada. Attorney Amourgis graduated from Upper Canada College. He then attended University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Arts degree focusing in European History and English Literature. Mr. Amourgis attended the University of Akron School of Law and was admitted to the practice of law in Ohio in 1998 and in the District of Columbia in 2001 until 2003. Mr. Amourgis focuses his present practice in civil litigation, but has wide experience in criminal defense, domestic relations, probate, foreclosure defense and bankruptcy. Mr. Amourgis is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association. He is also a member of the United States Tennis Association.
Carie A. Becker Attorney Becker was born August 16, 1975 in Akron, Ohio. She graduated from Tallmadge High School. She then attended Malone College where she received her B.S. in Liberal Arts. Carie attended Widener University School of Law from 1998-2001. Carie is also a licensed Real Estate Agent and a member of the National Association of Realtors. She is also a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Akron Bar Association. Carie joined our firm as an Associate in 2008. Carie has been licensed to practice in Pennsylvania since 2001 and in Ohio since 2005. She was admitted to practice in the Western District of Pennsylvania in 2001 and the Northern District of Ohio in 2005. Her areas of practice include Chapter 7 and 13 Bankruptcies, debt relief, civil litigation, and criminal law. Carie was the Assistant District Attorney in Crawford County, Pennsylvania for 2 years before she moved back to Ohio.
Margaret A. McDevitt Attorney McDevitt was Born January 19, 1956 in Euclid, Ohio. She graduated from Charles F. Brush High school. She then attended the University of Vermont where she received her B.S. in Mathematics. Meg attended Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1985. She also attended the University of Oklahoma and received her Masters in Education in 1989. Meg was a Colonel in the U.S. Army and retired in June of 2008. While in the Army she attended the U.S. Army War College where she received a Masters Degree in Strategic Studies in 2005. Meg is a member of the Ohio State, Nebraska State and Iowa State Bar Associations and has been licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio since 1985. Meg joined our firm as an Associate in 2008 and practices in the areas of civil litigation and foreclosure defense.
